Got a property to let, where do I start?
For online marketing I would most definitely recommend: 1. A photo or four, take some good quality:
1.1 Light and colourful: digital photographs, not exceeding 1mg per pic
1.2 ensure that the beds are made and dishes are washed before taking your photographs
1.3 add some colour with flowers or scattered pillows 2. Walk through your property,
2.1 make a list of all the pro's and con's of the property
2.2 write a description of your property, do not use abbreviations, be honest, tell your potential tenant exactly what they can expect when they come to view the property 3. Make a clear decision with regards to the interior,
3.1 are you going to rent the property furnished or unfurnished
3.2 remember built in stove, washing machines and dishwashers do not qualify for furnished, just equipped, specified how your property is equipped 4. Set a date from when the property is available 5. For what time period will the property be available? 6. What price 7. The correct contact details is of absolute necessity, specify clearly what times people can contact you 8. For your own security sake, never advertise the complete address i.e. the number of the building except if you are 100% secure and would not mind people knocking at your door at all hours of the day. 9. Now you choose as many online companies as possible to market your property, there is so many out there that will allow you to advertise for free i.e. The Tenant.
